Formula of Measurement

2D Shapes:

  • Square: Area (A) = side length (s) ²
  • Rectangle: Area (A) = length (l) x width (w)
  • Triangle: Area (A) = ½ x base (b) x height (h)
  • Circle: Area (A) = π (pi) x radius (r) ²
  • Parallelogram: Area (A) = base (b) x height (h)
  • Trapezoid: Area (A) = ½ (base1 + base2) x height (h)

3D Shapes:

  • Cube: Volume (V) = side length (s) ³
  • Cuboid: Volume (V) = length (l) x width (w) x height (h)
  • Sphere: Volume (V) = (4/3)π x radius (r) ³
  • Cylinder: Volume (V) = π x radius (r) ² x height (h)
  • Cone: Volume (V) = (1/3)π x radius (r) ² x height (h)
  • Pyramid: Volume (V) = (1/3) x base area (A) x height (h)

Additional Tips:

  • π (pi) is a mathematical constant with an approximate value of 3.14159.
  • Remember to use consistent units for all measurements (e.g., centimeters, meters, inches) within a calculation.
